In recent times, the LGBTIQ community has achieved things that, for a long time, felt like they never could and would never come.
It’s time to celebrate – cue Midsumma Festival! Last Sunday, the festival kicked off a 22 day long of celebration. Carnival once again taking over Alexandra Gardens on the banks of the Yarra. The biggest day on Melbourne’s queer calendar was, once more, brimming with all the colours of the rainbow, a dash of sun, a fistful of glitter and a healthy dose of flesh. Whether you spent the day lounging around with friends, checking out the action on the main-stage, or joined us, as sun set on our glorious city for T-Dance held by the ever fierce Yummy Crew, this was a blistering start to a cracker festival, and one of the best Carnivals to date.
